Change

Change is difficult because it confronts me with the impermanence of all things. I must say goodbye to this home, to this friendship, to this idea of where I fit at this point of history and geography. Change causes me to reflect upon the passage of time whose nature allows me to experience only a finite number of changes. Change gently reminds me of my own mortality making me savor each experience with that much more reverence.
