Reflections on Art and Life
Writing a piece of music is one thing, but finding an appropriate title for it is another. I always know what the piece is about, but it doesn’t always translate well into words. I wait until the end of the compositional process and then agonize over it. I don’t like generic titles, such as sonata, or aria. To me, music is always personal.
